I'm a very adventurous person and I'm interested in a huge variety of leisure activities.

I like sports, including:  tennis, running/jogging, cycling, and watching NFL games on Sundays.

Physical exercise has always played a major role in my life, too, whether it's going to the gym for a workout, or playing golf, tennis, or bowling with the Wii at home - which can be almost as challenging as each of those sports in real time.

I like going for day hikes in the mountains - or in Rock Creek Park when there is less time available - with our dogs and with my partner and friends.

Long car treks offer great experiences and fun memories - and bonding moments, (good debates when there's just you, the co-pilot, and the road ahead of you).

I also like to sing, write, read, study, and spend time with family and friends.  I also do charitable works through my church community.

Drawing, photography, design - in all its various disciplines, and travel are other hobbies I enjoy and make time for.

I believe that the challenge of being adults is to strive for constant learning, and to work to grow each day mentally, spiritually, and physically.

A recent trip to Nantucket just before Christmas of 2010 was planned to celebrate 3 Landon-grads who all turned 50 at the end of 2010.  The excursion turned into a group of 14 sharing a very large and comfortable guest house in Nantucket-town for four days, (which turned into 5 days when we got hit with a nor-easter/blizzard that prevented Cessnas from departing and they had to close the airport).

Earlier in the week, we enjoyed a winter bike ride from Nantucket to Madeket - Madeket is on the west end of the island.  Photos here are from that trip.
